Choose your reel

Choose the reel that matches
how you fish.

Svivlo builds two reels on the same CastGuard™ system — balanced for different kinds of fishing.

The difference isn't experience level. It's whether your fishing is defined by load — heavier baits and harder pulls — or by repetition and rhythm over long days of casting.

Choose the one that fits how you fish.

Lure weight & distance

Same cast.
Whatever's on the line.

You cast a 10g lure the same way you cast a 40g lure. The motion doesn't change. What changes is available lure pull — lighter lures produce less pull, so CastGuard™ engages a little earlier in the cast. The reel adapts automatically. You don't.

CastGuard™ never sacrifices control for a few extra feet. Consistent casts you can trust beat occasional casts you can't. That said — many anglers report improved casting distance compared to their previous baitcasters, particularly because they're no longer holding back their casting effort out of habit.

The frame is CF40 — carbon-fiber-reinforced with deliberately maintained wall thickness. We chose rigidity under load over shaving weight for a spec sheet.

Below approximately 5–8g, lure pull is weaker — CastGuard™ engages earlier to avoid overrun, which shortens the cast. You can compensate by casting harder, but honestly: below that threshold, a spinning reel is the better tool.

How lure weight affects the cast

Heavier lures — pull is sustained longer. The spool runs free longer. Casts tend to be longer as a result.

Lighter lures — pull tapers earlier. CastGuard™ engages sooner. Control is preserved. Cast technique stays identical.

Lure weight ranges are reference guidelines — not limits. Nothing is adjusted when you change lure weight. Below ~5–8g, lure pull weakens and CastGuard™ acts earlier — you can cast harder to compensate, but a spinning reel is genuinely the better choice at that weight.

Naming where the boundary sits isn't a limitation. It means everything we do claim, you can trust.

How it works

Built for real fishing
conditions.

Conditions don't hold steady.

Wind shifts. Lures change. Your casting tempo drifts.

Most baitcasters assume everything stays set. When it doesn't, you start adjusting — brakes, tension, thumb — just to keep casts clean.

Svivlo is built so that cycle doesn't start.

You're not reaching for the brake dial when the wind picks up. You're not retuning when you tie something different on. You're not guarding against overrun at splashdown.

The reel stays out of the way.
Fishing stays in focus.

Wind

The lure decelerates mid-flight. That's usually where you pay for it. You don't.

Lure Change

Different weight. Different pull. Normally that means resetting your approach. Same cast. Same motion.

Splashdown

Your thumb comes in out of habit. Nothing needed it.

Long Session

Two hours in. Conditions have drifted. You haven't touched the brakes. You've just been fishing.

What anglers notice

Across changing conditions.

Wind, lure changes, long days — anglers report the same thing. Fewer interruptions. Fewer mid-session adjustments. More casts spent fishing instead of managing the reel. Reviews don't explain how it works. They confirm what you notice once you fish it.

Kurt Mazurek tested the Draken ONE across hundreds of casts in varied conditions. His conclusion:

"No backlash at all. Zero. Exactly as promised."
