Material difference: Braided line is typically more compact than monofilament due to its weave. Monofilament may pack less densely, especially if it has memory or stiffness — this can reduce effective capacity by 10–20%.
Safety margin: Leave a small gap (1–2 mm from the flange) to prevent overfilling and tangles.
All numbers are approximate and should be used as a guide, not treated as exact measurements.
CastGuard™ components tested to a minimum of 50,000 casts under heavy use conditions.
77 cm / 30 in per rotation. Fast enough for aggressive presentations, composed enough for all-day rhythm.
Carbon-fiber-reinforced with maintained wall thickness. Rigid under load without unnecessary weight.
Draken ONE
Size 150 · Rhythm-dominant fishing
Built for rhythm
Long days of casting.
Nothing to correct.
Draken ONE is a size 150 baitcasting reel built for bass, walleye, perch, and trout. Frequent casting, regular lure changes, wind that shifts through the afternoon.
You don't adjust brakes between casts. You don't retune when you tie something different on. At splashdown — even when skipping under docks — your thumb wasn't needed. The rhythm stays intact. The reel stays out of the way.
CastGuard™
A different input.
A different result.
Every other baitcasting brake system measures spool speed — which means two requirements never go away: spool tension per lure, and thumb at splashdown. The spool has no connection to the lure. It cannot know when the lure has landed.
CastGuard™ responds to lure pull instead. While the lure pulls line, the spool runs free. When pull fades — at splashdown, in wind, after a lure change — the spool stabilises. No mode to select. No adjustment between casts.

Gear system
Hamai cut brass.
Precision through long sessions.
The main gear is Hamai cut brass — a cold-forging process that produces tighter tolerances and a harder surface than conventional cut gears. Gear mesh holds under hard pulls and doesn't develop slop over time.
The pinion gear is Hamai cut brass — the same alloy as the main gear, precision-cut to the same standard. Gear mesh holds under hard pulls and doesn't develop slop over time. That's the point of Hamai cutting.

Frame
CF40 carbon fibre.
Light without trading rigidity.
CF40 carbon-fiber-reinforced frame with maintained wall thickness. Built for rigidity over long casting sessions — not minimum weight on a spec sheet. Gear alignment holds under repeated hard pulls.
Final assembly and quality control in Svedala, Sweden. Spare parts and after-sales support based in Sweden — a direct route to resolution, not a distant support chain.
